The Nintendo DSi is the all singing, all dancing successor to Nintendo’s DS Lite. It’s packed with innovative new features and improved multimedia functionality for an altogether more dynamic and customisable gaming experience. In other words: it’s a heck of a lot of FUN …
The Nintendo DSi is thinner, lighter and more portable than ever!Nintendo has clearly been listening to its portable gaming fans by making the DSi console slimmer; the stylus longer and the screens bigger. Best of all, the svelte new Nintendo DSi is fully compatible with almost all DS games so you don’t have to worry about re-stocking your library.
Key features of the Nintendo DSi include:
- A larger than ever touch-sensitive screen for extra interactivity.
- Two cameras (a digicam and a webcam). You can even edit pictures on the DSi touch screen.
- Built-in DSi web browser and DSi Shop.
- Download games and take them with you wherever you go.
- SD Memory Card replaces the old GBA slot.
- 12% slimmer but just as durable, the DSi is more portable and lightweight than the DS Lite.

The Nintendo DSi includes not one but TWO cameras – one facing outwards for taking pictures and one facing inwards, which acts as a webcam.
And here comes the really fun bit …
The Nintendo DSi Camera software (using touch screen and facial recognition technology) allows you to apply special effects before and after taking pictures. You can change colours, create a composite picture, add graffiti, distort the image using your stylus and much more. You can even combine separate faces to make weird hybrids of your friends and family.
All images can be saved to your Nintendo DSi.
Fill your DSi with the games you love!The DSi web browser allows you to access the DSi Shop, where you can download DSWare (games and applications) using your current Wii points. The DSi browser has been specially 'tuned' to speed up the browsing and downloading process, so you can be enjoying a brand new game at just a moment's notice whether you're at home, at work or on the move.
Enjoy in-game sound like never beforeWith the Nintendo DSi you can enjoy enhanced audio quality and functionality. In addition, the DSi allows you to store huge volumes of music.
Upload and play MP3s or simply have fun playing with sounds. DSi Sound allows you to adjust the speed and pitch of your favourite songs to create your own wacky brand of music. An inbuilt microphone means you can experiment with your own voice too.
